This is a band that I had the pleasure of playing in from 2004 thru the end of 2015.  Original music by my brother, James Miley (pianist), and myself.  It also featured the incredible talents of Peter Epstein on alto saxophone, Roger Shew on bass, and Brian Hamada on drums.

Two of our members have moved on from this mortal plane, (more than likely still hooking up on some deep grooves in the great beyond).  Roger Shew in August of 2016 and Brian Hamada in August of 2018, both due to cancer.  It was a heartbreaking loss in both cases as these were both musical brothers and dear friends.  Some of the greatest music I’ve ever been involved in was with these guys.  Roger and Brian brought everything to the table that our band needed:  groove, drive, amazing tone, and an incredible rhythmic hook up. Even more importantly, they were both fantastic people who were a joy to be around.  We had 11 incredible years of making wonderful music together, traveling to lots of cool places and having great musical adventures.  We miss them both dearly.  The other three of us are out there making music individually, as we always have, and at some point we will be bringing this music back out to the world again.  In the meantime, the recorded output of bug is still here and you could say a piece of Roger and Brian is still here and still living and breathing everytime one of our albums is played.  More info on this music is available on the discography page of this website.
